Five Lamps supports winning social enterprises

The last couple of months have been great for three local enterprises that Five Lamps have been delighted to support in starting up or growing their organisations.

BCT Aspire recently won the prestigious Tees Valley Best New Business Award for community organisations, a great tribute to the massive dedication and hard work that Paul Burgum and his team have put in over a number of years. For more information, click here.

TurboConnect triumphed in the Manufacturing category for the Best New Business Awards, showing again that manufacturing is alive and kicking in the North East and that Callum Miller and his rapidly growing crew are at the forefront of engineering excellence in the region. Val Boyers Music was successful in a North East X Factor-style contest to duet with Newcastle swing legend Jason Isaacs at the City Hall in March 2012. Val was picked at by a panel of judges including Jason, Steps’ Faye Tozer and Metro Radio presenter Anna Foster. For more information, click here.

Five Lamps run Communities Fund on behalf of Stockton Council to support people who are unemployed. The Enterprise Gateway is delivered by Five Lamps on behalf of Stockton Borough Council.

The Enterprise Gateway project is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government, securing £380,643 ERDF investment. The ERDF Competitiveness Programme 2007-2013 is bringing over £300m into the North East to support innovation, enterprise and business support across the region. For more information click here.
