Climbing Wall

The Youthy has its own purpose built climbing wall, which was built by Rock Works in 2002.

The Climbing Wall is 6m high and is great for both beginners and also for the experienced climber. The Wall has 45 different climbs, with many different variations (it has 15 fixed ropes and routes are numbered. Each roped route has 3 different climbs). The route range is from 3b to 7c graded using the British Grading System.

The wall is perfect for group work and confidence building.

Booking the Climbing Wall

Individual bookings:

• £4 per hour
• Available between 9am to 4pm
• Your own equipment is required
• You can bring your own instructor or an appropriately qualified individual*

Group bookings:

• £35 per hour (with your own equipment)
• £40 - £50 per hour (includes hire of 10 harnesses, helmets and hardware (Karabiners and Belay Plate)
• Group size from 2 to a maximum of 15 people
• Available between 9am to 8pm
• Your own equipment is required
• You can bring your own instructor or an appropriately qualified individual*

* All visiting instructors must be SPA Qualified. Confirmation of this must be brought in and will be copied by Centre Staff before any climbing starts.
