Five Lamps Organisation Announces Strategic Change to Community Lending
Date: May 2026
We Are Changing
The Five Lamps Organisation, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 656112), has supported over 25,000 individuals and families in the past five years, providing more than £15 million in affordable personal loans.
A New Direction
Five Lamps will transition from offering large-scale lending across the UK to becoming a smaller, community-focused lender. This reflects a return to its core mission of delivering meaningful social, financial, and economic impact while providing a more personalised service experience.
What Happens Next?
To prepare for the launch of its new community lending products & services, Five Lamps has informed the Financial Conduct Authority that it has temporarily paused all new lending & credit granting facilities. Future updates & announcements will be made on the website www.fivelamps.org.uk.
