Rapid Support Worker

We are recruiting a small team of Rapid Support Workers who will provide support and assistance, covering care calls during periods of planned and unplanned absence and assisting with Rapid/Hospital Discharge care packages.

Contract Period: 20 hour contract (additional hours will be available).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To be flexible and respond at short notice to emergencies, planned or unplanned absence such as sickness and annual leave to ensure the safe delivery of care to service users
  • To be flexible and respond to Rapid/Hospital Discharge referrals providing high standard of care and ensure the completion of a rapid care plan and risk assessment
  • Assist customers within their home to meet their required needs. This may involve helping the customer to wash and dress, prepare meals and administer medication. Duties may also include helping customers with their shopping or getting in and out of bed
  • Provide an enhanced service that promotes interaction and strives to seek further wellbeing opportunities for the customer
  • Ability to liaise with other professionals and remain calm under pressure

Experience & Skills

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or working towards qualification)
  • At least 1 years’ experience of delivery of home care services

Benefits:

  • £9.40 per hour for weekend work

Hours: You must be available to cover a 3-week rolling rota covering 07:00 x 12:00 and 18:00 x 23:00 Monday to Sunday

Youth Participation Worker

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Youth Participation Worker to work flexibly across our evening youth club sessions.  We are looking for someone who has a passion for supporting young people to reach their potential and who can engage young people in a wide range of activities and workshops.

Hours: 6 hours per week (flexible working pattern across Tuesday to Friday evenings)

Salary Scale: £8.91 per hour

Contract Period: Permanent

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To improve the quality of life of young people (some of which who display challenging behaviour), by actively encouraging participation and involvement in co-ordinated activities and events
  • To build positive relationships with young people to encourage positive outcomes which effect a lasting change
  • To lead specific activities and workshops, including their planning, resourcing and quality assurance
  • To support the development and promotion of an annual programme of activities and special events for young people

Experience & Skills

  • At least one year’s experience of working with young people (some of whom display challenging behaviour
  • Awareness of issues affecting young people
  • Ability to develop a structured and engaging programme of activities for young people that address their needs

Care Assistant (Drivers Essential)

We are currently recruiting Care Assistants to be a part of our growing team of friendly care workers who are able to complete care needs assessments.

We are able to provide shifts between 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday. Shifts will be split between day and night shifts on a weekly basis and you will be required to work one weekend in two.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can work well under pressure, have a passion for providing excellent care, and can maintain professional composure at all times.

Job Purpose: To provide high quality care to homecare service users that support the rights of customers to live the lives they choose as far as they are able:

  • Assist customers within their home to meet their required needs. This may involve helping the customer to wash and dress, prepare meals and administer medication
  • Duties may also include helping customers with their shopping or getting in and out of bed
  • Provide an enhanced service that promotes interaction and strives to seek further wellbeing opportunities for the customer
  • To ensure that all customers receive a consistently high quality level of service, appropriate with the standards required by Five Lamps
  • Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support.
