Registered Manager

Five Lamps is a different kind of care provider. As a Charity we focus on not only the care of our service users but the impact we make on their lives including our social inclusion activities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role delivering a domiciliary Home Care service, which includes an Extra Care Scheme across Stockton South, delivering c2,000 hours of care per week.

We require a Registered Manager who has a proven track record within the home care sector, is ready for a new challenge and is motivated to lead a team to deliver high quality care and support enabling service users to remain living independently.

Location: Based at Five Lamps Head Office in Thornaby, however this post will require working across a range of sites and as such is an essential car holder post

Hours: 37 hours per week. Flexible hours (evenings and weekend working will be required)

Salary Scale: Salary SCP34 – SCP36 (£33,526 to £35,134)

Job Purpose: To provide high quality homecare and extra care services that support the rights of service users to live the lives they choose as far as they are able. The Registered Manager is directly accountable to Five Lamps and to the regulatory body Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Contract Period: Permanent

Care Assistant (Parkside Court Extra Care Scheme)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an established team delivering care in Parkside Court Extra Care Scheme in Thornaby.

As a Care Assistant at Five Lamps Homecare, you’ll help service users in Parkside Court to live as independently as possible to enable them to live each day the way they choose and transform their lives on a daily basis.

By promoting choice and encouraging independence you will be helping us to deliver emotional and practical care and support to vulnerable adults within an extra care setting.

Location: Parkside Court Extra Care Scheme, Cumbernauld Road, Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees, TS17 9FB

Hours: Shifts available between the hours of 07:00 x 23:00 and 21:30 x 07:00 to cover Weekdays, Weekends, and Bank Holidays. Shifts are available on a rota basis.

Salary Scale: £8.72 – £13.08 an hour

The ideal candidate will be someone who can work well under pressure, have a passion for providing excellent care, and can maintain professional composure at all times.

Job Purpose:
To provide high quality care to service users living in Parkside Court that supports the rights of service users to live the lives they choose as far as they are able:

  • Assist service users within their home to meet their required needs. This may involve helping the customer to wash and dress, prepare meals and administer medication
  • Duties will also include helping customers with their shopping, companionship calls, and domestic tasks
  • Provide an enhanced service that promotes interaction and strives to seek further wellbeing opportunities for the customer
  • To ensure that all service users receive a consistently high quality level of service, appropriate with the standards required by Five Lamps
  • Promote the rights of each individual and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support.

Please note that all of our positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to Children and Adults.

Care Assistant (Drivers Essential)

We are currently recruiting Care Assistants to be a part of our growing team of friendly care workers who are able to complete care needs assessments.

We are able to provide shifts between 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday. Shifts will be split between day and night shifts on a weekly basis and you will be required to work one weekend in two.
