Kireina Massage and Beauty

Kireina, which means beauty in Japanese, is a newly opened beauty salon in Billingham.

Suzanne Heslop has over six years’ experience as a beautician and has also worked in a luxury spa offering beauty treatments including massages, using various beauty products including Temple Spa and Elemis.

She approached Five Lamps, as she decided to use her experience, skills, knowledge and excellent customer care to open her own professional beauty service, within James Edward Hair and Beauty Salon in Billingham.

Whilst working with Five Lamps, Suzanne completed a two-day funded business skills workshop which gives an insight into self-employment and how to start-up your own business. She then worked intensively with her Business Advisor, Simon Coe, through the Tees Valley Pathways and Routeways programmes, to create her Business Plan, attract funding for her start-up materials and develop her marketing strategy.

Due to all her hard work and determination, the salon is now open and thriving; offering a number of affordable, luxurious beauty treatments, massages and make up services.

The Tees Valley Pathways and Routeways programmes form part of the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI). This is part-funded by the European Social Fund through the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The program aims to support young people across the Tees Valley aged 15-29 who are unemployed and/or not in education, employment or training until the end of July 2022.
