Five Lamps have a satellite office in Billingham to help people who are thinking about self-employment
Part financed by the European Regional Development Fund, Five Lamps’ helps to deliver Stockton Council’s Enterprise Gateway Service, which helps people to explore the possibility of self employment and starting a business.
You can find out what you need to know about what is involved in starting up a business, who you need to talk to about issues such as effects on benefits and talk confidentially about your circumstances.
Deborah Shanley, Five Lamps’ Enterprise Coach who runs the Billingham office said
“We help people to explore the option of self-employment. For example, someone might want to find out how viable it is to set up their own business – can they transform a hobby or pastime into something that can earn a living from? We try to give people the information they need to decide if self-employment is for them”
Five Lamps’ Billingham office is based in Billingham Community Centre on The Causeway (Billingham Town Centre) and is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
